Back to listings Abbiss Hair Commercial fitout in maitland road, islington Approached by the architect on this project, the goal was to transform an empty commercial space into a multi-functional, minimalist yet stylish hair salon. Construction the client wanted to create a space that utilised organic base build elements whilst delivering a high-end finish. Skillfully designed by Derive Architecture & Design, the space facilitates 12 hair styling stations, a beautiful reception area, 4 wash basins and a Back of House staff area. By creating a custom track solution , the hair stations can be pushed back to create a large entertaining area for the client to hold functions, parties and awards nights.

Using a combination of natural finishes including polished concrete flooring, exposed internal masonry, matte black joinery and warm timber elements, Abbiss Hair is a new-age salon with an Industrial-Luxe look and feel.

Working closely with the client and architect, ongoing design tweaks and changes on site allowed for a cohesive and well-delivered finish.
